Arsenal are planning an overhaul this summer which is why the club are expected to put Eddie Nketiah and Konstantinos Mavropanos up for sale.

The Gunners have missed out on European football next season so manager Mikel Arteta will need to rely on player sales if he wishes to bring in reinforcements during the summer. And according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth, Nketiah and Mavropanos are two players who are expected to leave.

“As for departures, Eddie Nketiah,” said Sheth, as quoted. “Now, there was talk about an extension to his contract. He only has one year left.

“I am now being told that Arsenal are listening to offers for Eddie Nketiah. They tried to tie him down to a new deal but it hasn’t transpired that they managed to do that.

“Bayer Leverkusen are one of four clubs we are told that are interested. The other three, we are told come from the Premier League.

“And one more line to bring you, Konstantinos Mavropanos, he’s been on-loan for the majority of his Arsenal career, so far.

“Lately, he was on loan at Stuttgart, they really like him, he really likes Stuttgart and it’s very likely that a permanent deal to Stuttgart could happen because both clubs are still in talks over a deal.”

Konstantinos Mavropanos has been useless for the Gunners since joining them in 2018 and he was sent out on loan to Stuttgart last season. And the latest reports claim that Arsenal have already agreed to make this loan deal permanent.

Arsenal already have a series of centre-backs at the club so selling the Greece international makes sense but we can’t wrap our head around the fact that Arteta also wants to get rid of Eddie Nketiah.

The forward is one of the brighter young talents in the squad right now and we are not sure if he should be sold, especially when Lacazette’s future is also up in the air. But, at the same time, the 22-year-old has only one more year left on his current deal so the North London side are running the risk of losing him for free next year.

The Arsenal boss has to depend on sales if he wishes to bring in new players but we just hope he can get hold of the right targets before he lets players like Eddie Nketiah and Konstantinos Mavropanos leave this summer.
