One key Man United player fit to play vs Everton but another one might miss out: Major issue?

Edinson Cavani PSG

Edinson Cavani was a doubt for Man United’s clash vs Everton in the Premier League this weekend but the forward is now expected to fit and available for selection on Saturday.

The South American picked up a knock during the first half in the 9-0 victory over Southampton on Tuesday night which is why he had to be taken off at half-time as a precaution.

There were some doubts over the forward’s participation against the Toffees but the Man United manager has now revealed that Edinson Cavani will be in the matchday squad.

“Edinson should be available, yeah definitely,” Ole told reporters at his pre-match press conference. “He got a bad ankle knock there [against Southampton].”

The return of Edinson Cavani is great news for the Man United manager but Ole has also confirmed that Eric Bailly is a doubt for this weekend’s game.

“Eric is a doubt but, apart from that, everyone is raring to go.”

Since Edinson Cavani is fit then he will start up front alongside Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood meaning Anthony Martial will once again remain on the bench.

The injury to Eric Bailly could be a bit of a headache for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer since the manager will have reduced bench strength against Everton.

Victor Lindelof will start in central defence alongside Harry Maguire but if Bailly is not fit then the manager will have trouble if he wants to introduce fresh legs in defence.
