Premier League side Manchester United have registered an interest in Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga and in a recent interview, the prodigy has claimed that his future remains undecided.

The 18-year-old has been labelled as one of the rising stars in the European football scenes which is why a number of new big clubs have already been linked with him – Man United being the latest entrant.

But, unlike the other clubs, it seems like Manchester United are pretty serious about signing Eduardo Camavinga amongst comments from the midfielder that he still needs to sort out his future.

“My future? I’ve not yet thought it over with my family,” Camavinga said, as per The Express.

“I am first concentrating on Rennes. Real Madrid and Bayern Munich interest is something nice, I can’t lie. It’s nice that big clubs have interest, but I’m not focused on that.”

Some time back his agent Barnett had hinted that the French international is set to become one of the most wanted players in the world.

“It is going to be harder. I’m expecting three or four very big deals of my own that will break a lot of records,” Barnett told the Athletic.

“Hopefully, they’ll come about. For the smaller clubs, I think there won’t be as many transfers. We have some very good players. We have probably the best young player in the world in Camavinga.

“We’ve got [Jack] Grealish. We’ve got [Ibrahima] Konate at Leipzig. But then I’ve got over 100 players.”

Eduardo Camavinga is valued at £49.50m, as per TransferMarkt and he has only one more year on his current deal with Rennes. And this is one of the biggest reasons why Manchester United are so interested in signing the youngster.

He is supposed to be the next best thing to come out of French football and since he is soon to be a free agent, the interested clubs think they can get him in a bargain deal.

Teams like Real Madrid and Arsenal have also been linked with the youngster but the Man United midfield is desperately in need of a new top-class defensive midfielder. So if Eduardo Camavinga heads to Old Trafford he could very well be the long-term partner to Scott McTominay.
