Arsenal have joined the likes of Everton, Leeds United and Inter Milan in the race to sign Club Brugge’s 22-year-old forward Emmanuel Dennis, as per CaughtOffside.

The report claims: “Arsenal are among a host of top European clubs currently embroiled in a transfer tug-o-war for Club Brugge’s forward Emmanuel Dennis.

“CaughtOffside has recently obtained information from a source that alongside Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are also Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig, Inter Milan, fellow Premier League outfit Everton and top-flight newcomers Leeds all fighting to secure Dennis’ services.

“It is our understanding that Manchester United were also interested in the forward but the Red Devils’ interest has since cooled leaving the remaining clubs all better positioned to snap the exciting attacker up.”

Are Arsenal serious about landing Emmanuel Dennis?

Emmanuel Dennis joined Club Brugge three years ago and during the 2019-20 season, the centre-forward netted five goals in 20 Jupiler Pro matches for the club.

And with the amount of interest he’s generated from big European clubs, it’s quite evident that Dennis has potential.

But having said this, we think Arsenal will only try and sign him if Mikel Arteta is sure about letting Alexandre Lacazette leave this transfer window.

Apart from the Frenchman, the manager has Aubameyang, Nketiah and also Martinelli in his ranks so if Laca is not heading out then Arsenal will not want to waste unnecessary money on Emmanuel Dennis.

TransferMarkt currently values him at around £15 million meaning he will be a bargain buy for the Gunners but Arteta has other areas to patch up as well so he’d much rather use that same amount money to bring in a new midfielder or defender.

Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti is also eyeing the youngster and given his stature, the Italian could very well be successful in luring in Emmanuel Dennis before the new season begins.
