Heavy rotation in the first XI to stop Man United from picking up a win vs Sheffield?

Man United beat Liverpool in the FA Cup on Sunday and in that game they played some of their finest football of the 2020-21 season. Man United take this peak form back into the EPL now when they welcome Sheffield United at Old Trafford.

Ole named most of his regular players in the first XI vs Liverpool during the weekend meaning the Man United boss could heavily rotate his team for the EPL game against the Blades.

Players like Juan Mata and Dan James could come into the starting line-up on Wednesday and some experts think, these changes could be the key to Sheffield United causing an upset at OT.

But according to Michael Owen, Man United have enough quality in their squad and given the poor form that the Blades are in right now, the Red Devils should see this one through without any major hiccups.

Owen wrote for BetVictor: “Table toppers Manchester United welcome the leagues bottom side Sheffield United to Old Trafford after both sides negotiated their way through to the next round of the FA Cup at the weekend.

“United are playing some fantastic football at the moment. We all know how good they are away from home, however, Sunday’s win against Liverpool was as good as I’ve seen them this season.

“The introduction of Edison Cavani has been key. His cleverness to win free kicks in around the penalty area along with his positional sense is something that Ole Gunnar Solkjaer’s side are hugely benefitting from.

“As for Sheffield United, their recent upturn in results is great news for Blades fans, however, I do worry that they may have left it a bit late.

“I think this will be a good watch and feel the home side have more than enough quality to secure another vital win.”

Sheffield United are currently sitting at the bottom of the Premier League table with just five points and have managed to win just one out of the first 19 matches.

Right now, every side in the EPL wants to face the Blades but Solskjaer and his boys cannot afford to be complacent on Wednesday.

Almost every Man United player has been playing positive football during the 2020-21 season but we expect heavy rotation in the squad since they face Arsenal next weekend. And so if the incoming players are not careful then the Blades have the quality to come out of Old Trafford with a point or three.
