EPL side West Ham United are eager to bring in a replacement for Sebastien Haller after joined Ajax this month and according to the Daily Star, David Moyes wants to bring in Celtic forward Odsonne Edouard.

The report claims: “West Ham will push to sign £35million-rated Odsonne Edouard from Celtic before the end of the transfer window.

“Sebastien Haller was offloaded to Ajax for around £20m earlier this month. And with the flop forward now off the books, David Moyes is desperate to source a suitable replacement.

“Edouard, a £10m buy from PSG in 2018, has been a revelation at Celtic Park with 74 goals in 151 games.

“Moyes has had the Frenchman watched on several occasions and believes he can flourish south of the border.”

The Frenchman has been one of Celtic’s key players ever since he joined the club in 2018 but he’s itching to make a move to the EPL – as soon as possible.

And now that the forward has entered the final 18 months of his contract, the Bhoys have no other option but to listen to offers and try to cash in on him.

As per the report, the Hammers are ready to pay around £35 million which is something Celtic FC will accept more than willingly. But it seems like Odsonne Edouard is not too keen to join a club like West Ham United.

It’s being claimed that the 23-year-old wants to join a top-six club in the EPL and his next destination could very well be the Emirates Stadium since the North London side are also keen to make a move for him.

Arsenal have been previously linked with Edouard but they are not going to try and sign him during the ongoing transfer window. So if the centre-forward truly wants to join a traditional top-six Premier League side then he will have to wait for the 2020-21 season to conclude.

David Moyes will obviously try really hard to convince Edouard to join West Ham United this month and with £35 million on the table, Celtic should also try and push him towards the London Stadium rather than waiting for a future negotiation with the Gunners.

During the 2020-21 season, Odsonne Edouard has so far played in 23 games for Celtic across all competitions, scoring 11 and assisting four goals.
