Man United defender Eric Bailly picked up yet another injury, this time, during training this week just a day before the Red Devils faced Sheffield United in the EPL.

Solskjaer named his starting line-up with Axel Tuanzebe and Harry Maguire in central defence, choosing to rest Victor Lindelof, against the Blades in midweek and, in the end, the pairing did not have the best of outings.

Eric Bailly had been in great form over the past couple of weeks so his absence was undoubtedly a major blow for Ole’s plans and according to the manager, the Ivorian international picked up a knock which is why he could not be risked on Wednesday.

“Eric was down to play this game but he had a bang yesterday, he’s sore and bruised and that’s unfortunate for him.” he told MUTV pre-match, as quoted by the Manchester Evening News.

“Eric had a bang yesterday so he’s sore and bruised, he was out.”

Will Eric Bailly miss Man United’s EPL game vs Arsenal?

Eric Bailly is the in-form defender for Man United over their past few matches but this latest injury setback could cause Solskjaer a few selection issues when his side take on Arsenal at the Emirates on Saturday.

There’s no way Axel Tuanzebe will be coming back into the side during the weekend and if Bailly is deemed fit then he should get the nod ahead of Victor Lindelof as well.

We are still not sure as to how serious the injury to Eric Bailly actually is but if he’s not a 100% then there’s no way Solskjaer will put him on the pitch against a side like Arsenal.

Victor Lindelof has been the first-choice partner to Harry Maguire this season in the EPL so even if Eric Bailly cannot be available for selection even then Man United have a very strong defensive pairing to face the likes of Aubameyang and Lacazette.
