After beating West Ham in the 5th Round of the FA Cup, Man United are back in the Premier League this weekend and this match could see the return of defender Eric Bailly.

Bailly was recovering from a knock and has not played since the 2-1 win at Fulham last month. But speaking ahead of their weekend’s game vs West Brom, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has claimed that the Ivorian has returned to full training and will be available for selection on Sunday.

Paul Pogba, on the other hand, is still recovering from his thigh injury and will miss out against the Baggies.

“We’ve had a rare opportunity to do a bit of training and actually some recovery,” Ole said, as per Manutd.com.

“You’ve got Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and not a game until Sunday. That has been a rarity for us really.”

”Paul [Pogba] is still out. Eric has been training, so that’s a boost to us.

“Eric is available. He has trained for a couple of days so he’ll be available for selection. So that’s a positive. Apart from that, no-one else is back.”

The return of Eric Bailly means Victor Lindelof could be given a much-deserved rest this weekend so that he remains fully fit for the team’s Europa League clash vs Real Sociedad next week.

Lindelof has been struggling from a lower-back injury himself so this will be a good time to keep him on the bench.

West Brom have not picked up a win in their last five Premier League matches means it will be safe enough to bring Eric Bailly back into central defence, alongside Harry Maguire.
