Manchester United will see Erik ten Hag take charge during the summer and right now, the biggest question on everyone’s mind is will Cristiano Ronaldo choose to leave Man United or not?
There have been numerous reports that CR7 wants to play in the Champions League which is why wants to leave at the end of this season while others have suggested that Erik ten Hag, himself will show him the door. ETH is a manager who is known to work well with young talents so quite he will want to bring in someone like Darwin Nunez for the upcoming season.
Does Cristiano Ronaldo want Champions League football?
Obviously, a player of his stature will want to play in the UCL but he knows very well that not a lot of European elites will want him.
He will surely not want to play second-fiddle to anyone so it’s really challenging to find a top European team who will take him in as their first-choice centre-forward.
Also, there are some reports which are claiming that Ronaldo does not want to leave Manchester United at the back of such a dismal season and he wants to stay back and make sure that United get back into the Champions League.
What plans does Erik ten Hag have in store for Cristiano Ronaldo?
The Dutch manager has made it clear that Ronaldo is an integral part of the squad this season and that he’s ready to make things work with the Portuguese.
“I look forward to working with him,” Ten Hag told Dutch outlet De Telegraaf when asked about the Portuguese international’s future.
“Ronaldo is a giant. Because of what he’s already shown and I think he’s still very ambitious. Of course, I’d like to keep him.
“He has been very important for Man Utd this year [and he] can produce great statistics.”

Will Cristiano Ronaldo leave Manchester United?
Honestly speaking we don’t think Cristiano Ronaldo is going to leave Manchester United in the summer because if he does then he will have to join a tier-two side.
PSG are his only realistic option for a transfer but as things stand, the Ligue 1 outfit have shown no intentions to bring him on board. Also, as long as Lionel Messi is in Paris, there’s a very slender chance that Ronaldo will want to join them.
