Jesse Lingard Man United

Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard has become hot property right now with Everton now joining West Ham United in the race to sign the England international.

A report in The Sun claims: “EVERTON have joined the list of clubs keeping tabs on Jesse Lingard’s situation at Manchester United.

“The Hammers would be interested in taking him back but David Moyes could face competition from his old club.

“New Toffees boss Rafa Benitez has made it his top priority to strengthen the wide areas to provide more ammunition for Dominic Calvert Lewin.”

Will Man United allow Jesse Lingard to leave?

Lingard looked down and out but he managed to revive his career thanks to a loan spell with the Hammers during the second half of last season.

He scored nine goals and provided five assists in 16 Premier League for the Hammers which is why David Moyes is so keen to sign him on a permanent deal.

Now with James Rodriguez likely to reunite with Ancelotti at Real Madrid, new Everton boss Rafa Benitez wants Jesse Lingard to fill that void.

Everton are a financially strong club so they will not be phased by Man United’s demands. And this could pose serious problems for West Ham United and their transfer plans.

It remains to be seen what Manchester United decide in the coming weeks but there’s also a big chance that Jesse Lingard could remain at the club by signing a new deal.

Ideally Man United will be looking to offload him this summer since he has only a year left on his current contract but his father is ready to discuss the terms of a new contract, in which case both Everton and West Ham United will miss out.

The Toffees are going to make a move for Lingard only if they are sure they will not be able to hold onto James Rodriguez. But for West Ham United, the Man United midfielder happens to be one of their priority signings.
