4-4-1-1 Everton’s predicted line up vs Manchester United: Rafa to revert to a back-three?

Everton take on Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday and even a point from this match will take them above the Red Devils on the league table.

The Toffees have been on a fine run of form under Rafa Benitez this season, winning four of their first six matches but their record against United has not been that great over the years. Everton have managed to win just one out of their previous 12 league matches vs Man United.

And to make matters worse the manager will be without some really key players so he might have to name the same starting line up which took the field against Norwich City last weekend.

United go into this game at the back of a 2-1 win over Villarreal in the UCL and despite the fine win, that game once again showed that there are cracks in the United line up which could be very easily exploited.

Everton’s team news vs Manchester United:

Jordan Pickford recovered from his shoulder injury and featured in goal against the Canaries so the England international is a definite starter on Sunday.

Digne was another player who came back from injury last weekend and he too will reprise his role on the left-hand side of defence.

Seamus Coleman remains on the sidelines with a knee injury and will return to action only after the international break.

Midfielders Andre Gomes and Jean-Philippe Gbamin will be touch and go for Saturday’s game but neither of them is likely to get starts.

Richarlison is another player who is on the sidelines recovering from a knee injury and he too will be an absentee. Dominic Calvert-Lewin has returned to light training but he will not be fully fit for the Man United vs Everton game.

The absence of Richarlison and DCL means Salomon Rondon will play as the main centre-forward with Demarai Gray operating just behind him.

Everton predicted line up vs Man United:
