Liverpool and Manchester City are currently one of the biggest rivalries in the top-tier of English football and both these sides will face off against each other in the FA Cup really soon.

The two sides are slated to play against each other in the semi-final of the FA Cup next month and that match, as per traditions is set to be played at Wembley.

Now, reports are suggesting that Liverpool have asked the FA to pull the match out of the Wembley Stadium and take it to another neutral venue in some other part of the country.

Why do Liverpool want the FA Cup semi-final to be relocated?

The Man City vs Liverpool game will be played in London and during that weekend there are no direct trains from Liverpool or Manchester to London.

Engineering work will take place in those lines between April 15 and 18, meaning both sets of fans will face massive problems in trying to reach the capital.

Will the FA agree to shift the Man City vs Liverpool game from Wembley?

Well, as per the latest updates, the FA have no interest in shifting the semi-final from the national stadium, primarily because of their contract with Wembley.

There has been no official confirmation yet but there are clear suggestions that FA are not keen to lose out on a large chunk of money by shifting the venue of the semi-final.

This basically means all the fans will have to embark on a road journey to get to the semi-final during the Easter weekend.

Man City already have plans to help their supporters for the FA Cup tie:

The rising cost of petrol has been a major headache so driving to London will not be a cost-effective solution either and that’s why Man City are planning to provide extra coaches for supporters who intend to head to head for the semi-final.

City have understood that the FA have no intention to shift the venue of the semi-final which is why they are looking to offer a day-trip coach return for their fans.

Man City take on Liverpool in one of the semi-finals while Chelsea take on Palace in the other semi-final. Both these matches will be playing during the same weekend but the FA Cup are yet to announce which match will be played on Saturday and which one will be played on Sunday.
