Arsenal have released Danny Welbeck as a free agent after the club refused to offer his a new deal.

This means that Unai Emery is currently looking to bring in a centre-forward during the summer transfer window and if reports are to be believed then the Gunners are eyeing a move for Fedor Chalov.

Fedor Chalov currently plays in the first tier of Russian football for CSKA Moscow and last season, he had scored a flurry of goals.

During the 2018-19 season, Chalov played in 37 games scoring 17 goals and making 7 assists.

And reports have claimed that a number of clubs have shown interest in signing the 21-year-old.

As per Sky Sports, “Arsenal are one of a number of top clubs monitoring young Russian striker Fedor Chalov, Sky Sports News understands.

Monaco and Sevilla are also keen on the 21-year old, who was top scorer in the Russian Premier League last season for CSKA Moscow, scoring 15 times in 30 appearances.”

With the inclusion of the Fedor Chalov rumour, now the Gunners have been linked with a number of strikers during the past couple of weeks.

And this has gotten the fans are bit worried.

Just last week, there were reports that Pierre Emerick Aubameyang has received a huge offer from a Chinese Super League club and immediately after that the North London club are being linked with so many strikers.

The fans and some experts are fearing that Unai Emery might have gotten a hint that Aubameyang might just vacate his locker room at the Emirates as a result of which, the Spanish boss is in such a hurry to bring in a new striker.
