The Coronavirus outbreak has been causing havoc across the globe and right now the whole of Europe seems to have become the epicentre of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Almost all the major leagues in Europe had been suspended for atleast a couple of weeks and with the rapid pace that the outbreak is spreading it looks like, there’s a big chance that most of these tournaments might have to be suspended.

And during this time a number of footballers have tested positive for COVID-19 and those ones who have come in contact with positive patients are currently self-isolating themselves.

Here are some of the high-profile cases of COVID-19 or self-isolations in the footballing world during the past couple of weeks.

1.Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has tested positive for COVID-19.

2. Olympiacos owner Evangelos Marinakis has also contacted the virus.

3. Man City defender Benjamin Mendy is self-isolating himself after he came in with a family member who had contracted the virus.

4. The whole of the Everton side are self-isolating after a player was showing symptoms similar to those of coronavirus.

5. Juventus defender Daniele Rugani has tested positive for coronavirus.

6. Fiorentina players German Pezzella, Patrick Cutrone and Dusan Vlahovic have tested positive for the coronavirus.

7. Sampdoria players Manolo Gabbiadini, Omar Colley, Albin Ekdal, Antonio La Gumina, Morten Thorsby and Fabio Depaoli have also been tested positive.

8. Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has been tested positive.

9. Valencia defender Ezequiel Garay became the player in La Liga to contract COVID-19.
