Swansea City sacked Paul Clement from the managerial position on Wednesday night and the Premier League outfit is currently on the lookout for a new manager.

According to the Daily Mirror, Swansea are looking at ex-Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal as a possible replacement to Paul Clement.

Van Gaal recently said that even though he is not interested in managing a club anymore but he would make one exception just to beat Manchester United – the club that sacked him back in 2016.

Van Gaal said, “I said I will probably not manage a club anymore. I would make one exception. If a big English club comes for me, I would do it. Because then I can get the chance to get one over Manchester United.”

Swansea are said to be giving the Van Gaal option a serious thought but the likes of Tony Pulis and Slaven Bilic are also being considered for the job.

The report suggests that Ronald Koeman who was sacked from his Everton job a couple of months back might also take up the new managerial role at Swansea City.
