England played in an international friendly yesterday and were humbled by a 10-men French team. And the France squad is something to be very excited about.

Didier Deschamps has managed to put together a France squad that will send ripples down any opposition’s defence in the coming years. And we saw a few glimpses of that against England.

France squad attacking line:

Paul Pogba:

Pogba is currently the most expensive player in the world. But that record might not stay afloat for a very long time. But what will always be true is the fact that he is one of the best in the world.

Pogba showed glimpses of magic last night. He played with flair and authority. He was literally bossing the midfield and rarely did he lose the ball. Long balls, short passes, tricks, Pogba showed a bit of everything against England. The 24-year-old has certainly become one of the most important players in the France squad. And by the looks of it, he will be managing the midfield for a rather long time.

Ousmane Dembele:

There was this one moment of magic in the first half when Dembele dropped his shoulders and went past John Stones leaving the defender flat on the ground. This was an example of what the Dortmund player is capable of. The 20-year-old has everything in the locker that can make him a world class player. We just hope that luck is on his side.

Kylian Mbappe:

Just grab hold of someone who doesn’t know who Mbappe is and ask him to take a look. And I am sure everyone will say that he plays with a lot of confidence and has experience on his side. But then the lad is just 18. Yes, 18 years old. And he is just getting started.

Mbappe showed exactly why so many big clubs across Europe are chasing him.
