Premier League side Liverpool are desperate to find a replacement for Gini Wijnaldum and in their desperation, they have now been linked with AC Milan’s Franck Kessie.
The midfielder has entered the final year in his current deal meaning Liverpool will have to pay a really limited value to sign him this summer.
The Anfield outfit did not earn a single penny from Wijnaldum moving out so it makes sense why they are going after a player who might be valued at £49.5 million but has only one more year left on his current contract
But, as per the latest reports, Franck Kessie might not be too keen to move out of AC Milan this summer and his agent is now going to hold talks with the Serie A sides over a new deal.
Football Italia cites these reports: “According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Franck Kessie’s agent will meet Milan this week to discuss a new deal for his client.
“Kessie sees his contract expire in June 2022 and the Rossoneri want to tie him down to a new contract to avoid see him leave as a free agent as Gigio Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu did.
“La Gazzetta dello Sport reports his agent George Atangana will meet the Rossoneri’s executives this week to discuss a new deal for his client.”

Milan are really pushing for this new deal which could only suggest that Liverpool’s interest in Franck Kessie is really genuine.
Jurgen Klopp is actively looking for a new central midfielder but they might find it really hard to get their hands on the 24-year-old before the 2021/22 season kicks off.
The only way they can move forward in this transfer is if the midfielder rejects Milan’s new offer and shows an inclination to leave, either this year or the next.
