Antoine Griezmann to Chelsea?

Atletico Madrid forward Antonine Griezmann has officially claimed that he will reveal his future before the World Cup begins in two weeks time.

The French International is tipped to join Barcelona for the upcoming season while Premier League side Manchester United also hold a substantial interest in the forward.

When asked by reporters about his future, Griezmann responded by saying that any decision will be made public before the World Cup kicks off.

Griezmann said: “Yes, it will be done before the competition,”

The Frenchman played an integral role in helping Atletico Madrid will the Europa League this season but multiple reports in Spain have claimed that the forward has already agreed on a deal in principle to join Barcelona.

Greizmann’s current Atleti teammate Diego Costa though feels that the 27-year-old will stay at Atletico Madrid as he still has four years left on his current contract.

Costa told the press: “He is taking a little time to say what is next for him and I think there is perhaps some doubt on his part,

“He knows that we love him very much and that he is the figurehead here, a very important player. If he stays with us, that would be brilliant.

“If he leaves, we also must be happy because he’s given us a title this season but, in the end, I think he’ll stay.”

Manchester United had tried to bring Antoine Griezmann onboard last summer but that deal broke down at the final moment. But reports in England still claim that Jose Mourinho is desperate to make one last-ditch move to get the Frenchman and by the looks of it, the United boss has only two weeks to pull off a miracle.

France kicks off their World Cup on the 16th of June against their Group C rivals Australia.
