Liverpool picked up an outstanding win vs Bayern Munich in the Champions League and now they will have to shift their focus to the Premier League.

The Reds will take on Fulham this weekend and everyone is expecting them to pick up three easy points vs the Cottagers.

Liverpool are currently one point behind league leaders Manchester City and a win for them would once again take them to the top of the table.

And given that City do not play in the Premier League until the end of this month, if Liverpool were to win against Fulham then Jurgen Klopp’s side would have the change to remain at the top for a couple of weeks.

But according to midfielder Gini Wijnaldum, beating Fulham will be tougher as compared to the Bayern Munich game.

Here’s why:

“I think it will be even harder at Fulham,” said Wijnaldum.

“They are struggling, fighting to survive and that is always difficult to play against, those teams.

“Fulham will make it as difficult as possible and we have to be focused.”

We understand where the Liverpool man is coming from and given that Fulham are more or less on the verge of relegation they might very throw the kitchen sink at Jurgen Klopp’s men.

In such circumstances, big teams often become complacent and their opponents often take advantage of the situation.

Having said that though, we do not expect Fulham to pull off any wonders vs Liverpool since they have not picked up a single point in their past five games.
