Arsenal have brought in defender Gabriel Magalhaes and winger Wilian during the ongoing transfer window and right now the big debate is if both of them will be named in the starting lineup vs Fulham or not.
And when the manager was asked this very same question during his pre-match press conference, Mikel Arteta chose to drop a pretty major hint.
The manager said, as per the club’s official website: “They have been training really well. They have adapted quickly.
“They are really excited to be here with us, really good energy from both of them. Big talent, both in very different phases of their career. One is already very established in the Premier League with incredible quality.
“And another one that has to adapt to this league but has huge potential to become a key player for us in the future.
“We have a few issues around the squad. That’s something normal that we have to try to adapt to. We’ve been trying with the players that we have fit at the moment.
“It’s not an ideal to start the season with some key players out but again, we have enough really good players and tomorrow we will have the best possible plan to try and win our first game.”
Will Willian & Gabriel both start vs Fulham?
Gabriel Magalhaes has been training with the Arsenal first-team squad for only a week so we do not think Arteta will risk naming him in the first XI(as his Premier League debut) for an away game.
The likes of David Luiz, Sokratis, Pablo Mari and Calum Chambers are all ruled out with injuries but the manager still has good enough defenders in his squad to be able to name a three-man back line at Craven Cottage.
Rob Holding and Kieran Tierney are expected to be partenered by Frenchman William Saliba on Saturday.
And as far as Wilian is concerned, the Brazilian should get the nod ahead of Nicolas Pepe down the right wing.
