Liverpool set the ball rolling by beating Manchester City in the Community Shield last weekend and they will now be taking on Fulham in the Premier League.

The Reds head to Craven Cottage on Saturday to play their first match of the new EPL season and like any other match, we are expecting them to pick up an easy win on Saturday.

Fulham will be brimming with confidence after returning back to the top division but Marco Silva has admitted his squad is yet to settle down before Liverpool come to town.

Silva said(h/t This is Anfield): “We, as a squad, we are not ready. These players, they are ready. I have to tell you, and I don’t want to speak for too much time about the situation, I want to be clear with you; now we have 16 senior players in our squad.

“No one competes at this level with 16 senior players in your squad. I will tell you one more. No one can prepare for one season with just two central defenders. We have two central defenders at this level.

“I can continue and not stop, but I don’t want to talk more about it, I’m talking because you asked me about it.”

Looking at them against Manchester City, it seemed like Liverpool have not been away even a single day so we expect them to pick up exactly from where they left off last season.

Team news:

Fulham have a handful of injuries going into this game and Joe Bryan along with Harry Wilson will be ruled out from Saturday’s game.

Summer arrivals Joao Palhinha and Andreas Pereira are likely to start but midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah remains a doubt due to a knock.

Fulham are on the verge of signing Bernd Leno from Arsenal and this transfer should be wrapped up in time for Marco Silva to name the keeper in his first XI this weekend.

On the Liverpool front, Alisson Becker will be back but the likes of Ibrahima Konate and Diogo Jota are expected to miss out.

Naby Keita is out with an illness while Curtis Jones picked up a knock before their final pre-season game so both of them are going to be absent as well.

The likes of Kelleher, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Tsimikas are also injured but Jurgen Klopp won’t be sweating too much over these absentees because none of them are first-team regulars.

Fulham 0-3 Liverpool
