Will Arsenal miss out on this £50M striker as Spurs and PSG are interested in signing him?

Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus playing for Brazil

Arsenal are currently the favourites to sign Gabriel Jesus but according to Fabrizio Romano Spurs and PSG still remain interested in the Brazilian international.

The transfer expert has claimed that Arsenal are now in advanced talks with Manchester City as well as the player regarding the transfer but he’s made it clear that the Gunners need to move quickly.

He wrote on Twitter: “Gabriel Jesus deal update. Arsenal are working on it and negotiations are very advanced – Arsenal will now need to be fast on final, key details involving player/agents to get the deal done and avoid twists.

“Tottenham & PSG, still waiting to see the end of this story.”

Will Gabriel Jesus snub Arsenal and move to Spurs or PSG?

For the longest time, Arsenal have been the frontrunners in signing Gabriel Jesus and despite continued interest from Spurs and PSG, we still think the Man City man is going to join the Gunners in the coming weeks or months.

The primary reason why Jesus wants to leave Manchester City is that he wants to play regularly and at Tottenham or PSG, he will not get this opportunity.

At both these sides, he is going to be the understudy of the main centre-forward but at Arsenal, he will get the chance to lead the line every matchday.

Spurs has Harry Kane, Son and Kulusevski so it will be really tough for him to break into the first XI and at PSG, he will be always below the likes of Mbappe, Icardi and Neymar.

On the other hand, the Gunners have seen Lacazette and Aubameyang both leave in the previous six months so the main centre-forward’s position is very much up for grabs. Nketiah is their only recognized striker right now so if Jesus joins Arsenal he will be the undisputed frontman.

Gabriel Jesus will obviously want to play in the Champion League and compete for titles but with the World Cup coming up, regular game time is a lot more important for him which is why we think he is going to choose a move to Arsenal rather than Spurs or PSG.
