Manchester United have been suitors for Gareth Bale for quite a long time now but it looks as if the player is not very keen on joining the Red Devils.

Bale moved to Real Madrid in 2013 from Tottenham Hotspur but since then the Welshman’s club career has just not picked up. Now Zinedine Zidane feels that it is better to let him go and cash in on his transfer rather than carry him on as a liability. Manchester United were said to be the longtime favourites for the signing the player and it was also reported some time back that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte wants the 28-year-old at Stamford Bridge.

So it looked all set to become a battle of the Premier League giants for Bale’s signature.

Now though Real Madrid have sort of taken a few steps back and they are willing to lower the asking price of the player. And as per the news, it is being done because Gareth Bale wants to revive his career at a club which does not have the glaring spotlight like Real Madrid. And the Welshman feels that both Manchester United and Chelsea have a very similar kind of atmosphere to that of the Bernabeu.

So now according to Diario Gol, Tottenham Hotspur have emerged as a potential destination for Gareth Bale. The lowering of the transfer tag plays the ball right down Spurs‘ alley and as per the news Bale will not hesitate in returning back to London for a second spell with the club. While Spurs have grown leaps and bounds in the past few seasons but their fan pressure is nowhere as great as a Manchester United or Chelsea. So this will be an ideal setup for Bale to return back to his club where he spent six seasons and show the world once again why he still is one of the best wingers in European football.
