Recently promoted Premier League side Brentford have joined Watford in the race to sign Rangers FC midfielder Glen Kamara, according to the Mail.

The report claims: “Brentford have joined Watford in the battle for Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara.

“The former Arsenal trainee has been a stand-out performer for Steven Gerrard on the way to clinching the Scottish league title and has continued his impressive form with Finland in the European Championships.

“It is understood Rangers want over £10million for the 25-year-old and that appeals to newly-promoted Brentford and Watford as they look for a defensive midfielder with energy and one that reads the game well.”

Glen Kamara heading to the Premier League?

Glen Kamara was a key figure in helping Rangers win the Scottish Premiership last season but it seems like the Gers are ready to cash in on him if someone is ready to meet their demands.

Watford lost Etienne Capoue to Villarreal last season and it seems like they want to bring in Kamara to fill that void in the first-team squad.

For the Hornets, this would have been a pretty straightforward deal but now with Brentford joining the race, it could be a lot tougher.

Rangers have been demanding £10 million for the 25-year-old since day one but now that the Bees are also interested in him, it will not be a big surprise if the Scottish side jacked up their asking price.

Glen Kamara has two more years left on his current deal(according to TransferMarkt) so this the perfect time for the Gers to cash in on him.

With not one but two Premier League clubs interested in the midfielder, it’s only a matter of time before Kamara heads south of the border.
