Manchester City and Liverpool have been the two most dominant forces in the whole of England this season and frankly, no team has come close.

City are on the verge of winning the Premier League while Liverpool have secured a place in the Champions League final where they will take on Tottenham Hotspur.

And not just on the pitch, but off it too, the Liverpool as well the Man City players have dominated.

While Raheem Sterling won the FWA Footballer of the Year as well as the PFA Young Player of the Year awards, Liverpool defender Van Dijk was named the PFA Player of the Year.

And with this award, the Dutch centre-back became the first defender to receive this accolade since John Terry in 2005.

But according to Man City manager Pep Guardiola, there was one man who deserved to win everything this season.

Guardiola feels that Bernardo Silva should have been won both the awards.

“He[Bernardo Silva] was the best and not just in our team – but I don’t vote,” Guardiola said.

“He can play incredibly well everywhere, give me a team and he can play well there. He does everything good.

“Any team in the world he could play – by far.”

Bernardo Silva joined Manchester City from AS Monaco in 2017 and the Portuguese really had a tough first season in England.

But this campaign, Bernardo Silva has truly turned things on its head by scoring 13 goals and making 12 assists across all competitions.
