Man City to make one final offer for the player they’ve been chasing all summer: Will the new terms work?

Manchester City have been chasing Harry Kane all summer and according to the Daily Telegraph, the Etihad outfit are going to make one final offer before deadline day.

John Percy writes: “Manchester City are poised for a final move to sign Harry Kane this week, as the Tottenham forward made his first appearance of the season.

“Premier League champions City are set to table another bid for the England international this week, though Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is determined to avoid selling the talismanic forward.

“Manchester City remain determined to strike a deal for the England international, while Kane is also keen to pursue a move to the champions.

“Tottenham are refusing to sell but on this evidence his legacy with fans will be untarnished if he does move before August 31.”

Will Spurs be ready to sell Harry Kane this time?

Manchester City are badly in need of a world-class centre-forward while Harry Kane is more than willing to jump ships in the next few days. But, the final decision rests with the North London side.

City should be improving their monetary compensations in their new bid but we do not think Daniel Levy is ready to let Kane leave right now.

There are only a few days left for the transfer window to shut down so no matter how much Man City are paying for the 28-year-old, that money will be useless to Spurs right now.

And given how toothless Spurs looked in attack against Wolves without their talisman, we are pretty confident that Levy is not going to send Kane out this time around.

Tottenham need to get back into the Champions League next year plus they also need to win a trophy this campaign. And both of these targets will be virtually impossible without Harry Kane in the starting XI.

The England captain came onto the pitch against Wolves with 18 minutes left on the clock and all throughout the match, Nuno’s side could only manage eight shots while Wolves clocked as many as 25.
