Tottenham Hotspur beat Everton 6-2 on Sunday and with that Pochettino’s men maintained the pressure on the Liverpool and Manchester City.

City lost their game this weekend to Crystal Palace meaning the Lilywhites are now just two points behind the defending champions but they do have a series of tough fixtures coming up.

Almost every one of Pochettino’s attackers scored a goal or two against the Toffees on Sunday but once again the limelight was on Harry Kane.

Kane scored a brace during the match – so did Son Heung Min, but the England captain has now managed to equalised a unique record with these two goals.

The forward equalled a Premier League record by becoming only the second player after Michael Owen against Newcastle to score twice in four successive meetings against the same team.

Another big impact that Harry Kane’s goal has had is that the England international has not reached within a touching distance of that Premier League golden boot.

Arsenal forward Pierre Emerick Aubameyang is leading the chart with 12 goals against his name while Mo Salah was second on the list with 11 goals.

But now with this brace against Everton, Harry Kane has also reached 11 goals.

Harry Kane won the Golden Boot during the 2015-16 and 2016-17 season while last year he came second on the goals tally as Mo Salah set the Premier League on fire.

This time around though, the Spurs man looks all set to reclaim his throne.
