Harry Kane Tottenham Hotspur playing for England

Manchester United will be trying to sign a new centre-forward during the summer and Tottenham’s Harry Kane will be one of the club’s top priorities.

Kane was tipped to move out of Spurs before the start of the current season but Daniel Levy refused to sell him off, despite big clubs like Manchester City interested in him.

While the forward has done well under Antonio Conte this season but there’s still a major chance that the England international could look to leave during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The 28-year-old has netted 11 goals and provided three assists in 26 Premier League this campaign and as per Fotmob, he has a rating of 7.28 out of 10. As per various rumours, Manchester United and Man City are the two major clubs who are interested in signing him but in the end, City are likely to shift their focus to Erling Haaland.

Haaland is supposed to be the top priority right now for Man City meaning Manchester United could have an open shot at signing Kane. But for the transfer to happen, two major factors should perfectly fall into place.

Next Man United manager:

One of the major conditions for Man United to try and sign Harry Kane is reliant on the fact that who becomes their next manager.

Mauricio Pochettino is one of the candidates to become the next permanent United boss and if the current PSG manager comes to OT then he will surely look to sign Kane.

Kane flourished under Poch during their time at Spurs so it only makes sense that the Argentine boss will try and bring the striker to Manchester United.

A top-four finish in the Premier League:

Currently, Harry Kane looks pretty content with life under Antonio Conte and if Tottenham can secure a top-four finish then there’s a chance that he will not want to leave in the summer.

Similarly, Manchester United will have to qualify for the Champions League next season if they wish to have any chance at attracting a star player like Kane.

Without top-tier European football, there’s no way Harry Kane will agree to lead the line at Manchester United.

Ultimately, if Manchester City comes for Harry Kane then the Red Devils will not even be in the transfer race but as of now, Pep Guardiola is fully focused on getting his hands on Erling Haaland. Haaland is sure to leave Dortmund in the summer and if he wishes to play in the Premier League then obviously he will look to move to the Etihad.
