Harry Kane was supposed to move out of Tottenham and join Manchester City during the ongoing transfer window but chairman Daniel Levy has refused to let him leave.

Before the Euro, Kane had hinted that he was ready to move out and try a new adventure and City were more than ready to welcome him in.

But, Spurs have rejected several bids from Man City and now the England forward has given up hope about leaving the North London side.

Some experts have argued that the failed transfer will not go down well with Kane and this might eventually affect his form this season.

Harry Kane though has made it clear that he is a thorough professional so all the off-field problems will not affect his form on the pitch.

The England forward said, as per talkSPORT: “I know there was a lot of noise surrounding me but I was quite calm. I knew what the situation was between me and the club and that’s the way it’ll stay.

“Everyone has their opinions on it but that’s part of the parcel of the profession we’re in. I’m full focussed with club and country and looking forward to a great year.

“I think anyone involved in the football industry knows the ins and outs. I was quite calm with the situation, but when you’re in it and you know the truth, then your conscience is clear.

“There’s always going to be noise. My whole career I’ve had ups and downs from when I’m young to where I am, that’s just part of the parcel of it.

“A lot of people that know me will say I’m a professional athlete who’s dedicated my life to this game and that’s what I’ll continue to do.

“I’ll look forward now, the aim has always been to win silverware with Tottenham and it’s been that aim every year.”

Last season, Harry Kane scored 23 and assisted 14 goals in 35 Premier League games so it will be an uphill task for the forward to maintain the same pace this time around as well. But he will be itching to win silverware with Spurs this season now that he is sure of staying at the club for one more year, at least.

Man City, on the other hand, have failed to sign Lionel Messi, Ronaldo and Harry Kane all within the same transfer window and now Pep Guardiola must rely on players like Gabriel Jesus and Ferran Torres to see the season, or maybe until the January transfer window.
