Jesse Lingard moved to West Ham United from Manchester United during the January transfer window and the forward has totally turned around his career at the London Stadium.

At United this season, Lingard did not even come close to playing in the first XI in the league and the major cup games but at West Ham United, the England international has sort of become the main man.

His career looked almost over but he chose to leave Manchester United at the perfect time and he’s since managed to start a second phase in his professional and possibly his personal life.

And as the 2020-21 season draws to a close, Jesse Lingard has explained why he chose to move out of Man United and join West Ham United during the middle of the season.

When asked why he joined the Hammers, Jesse Lingard told the club’s official website: “I think just obviously playing week-in week-out, the lads have been brilliant, the staff have been brilliant and they’ve put confidence in me to play and do well.

“I was already ready to play from many months ago so to play the first game at Villa seems a lifetime ago now that we’re near the end of the season, but it’s been a brilliant experience and I’ll take away so many memories.

“Yeah, it’s just about consistency and performing at a high level week-in, week-out, which I’ve been trying to do and which I’ve been doing over these past few months and hopefully now it’s a big push towards the end of the season. We’ll take confidence and we’re going to treat it like a cup final.”

Will West Ham United be able to sign Jesse Lingard permanently?

Jesse Lingard has played in 15 Premier League games this season, all of them coming at West Ham and since his move to London, the 28-year-old has scored nine goals and provided five assists.

No wonder David Moyes is eager to make this loan deal into a permanent move during the summer and we hope Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have no issues letting him stay at the London Stadium.

Jesse Lingard will have no future if he heads back to Manchester United so if the Hammers are ready to meet United’s monetary demands, Moyes should have no problem in holding onto the playmaker.

Some report claims Man United will want around £30-35 million to let Lingard leave but since he has only one year left on his current deal at Old Trafford, West Ham will undoubtedly look to bring the price tag down.
