Thomas Tuchel took charge at Chelsea after Frank Lampard was sacked and the manager has taken his own sweet time to find out his best starting line-up at the club.

Chelsea beat Crystal Palace 4-1 at Selhurst Park this weekend and according to Owen Hargreaves, the new manager has finally been able to figure out the players who are going to be his long-term warriors at the club.

“These guys look like that had something,” Hargreaves told Premier League Productions, as quoted by Football London. “And I think if [N’Golo] Kante comes in instead of Jorginho, that’s going to be his best team for a while.

“Timo [Werner] is a really good player, but he looks like he’s struggling with confidence. [While] these guys there, they look like they gel, like they’re connected.

“[Ben] Chilwell and [Christian] Pulisic [on the left], [Callum] Hudson-Odoi and [Mason] Mount [on the right], and [Kai] Havertz is kind of linking them all together.

“So when it works, you’ve got to let the boys do it and figure it out more.

“Timo, I think he’s been unlucky, and he’ll come good, but these guys look like they have chemistry right now.”

Chelsea had a setback after West Brom beat them 5-2 last weekend but Thomas Tuchel has managed to figure out a lot of flaws in his side thanks to this loss. And after that kinda humiliating loss, the Blues have managed to get things back on track, first with the win against Porto then this Saturday against the Eagles.

Players like Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Jorginho have been blowing hot and cold all throughout this season but the manager has, after a lot of hard work, managed to bring up their performances. And were are more than certain that apart from a handful of them, these once unwanted players are going to remain at the club beyond the summer.

Tuchel was brought in to steady the ship at Chelsea and the new boss has surely done a lot of positive work at the club so far. Now his next big job will be the secure a Champions League spot for the upcoming season either by finishing in the top-four or by winning the same competition this time around.
