PSG show interest in signing this 25 Y/O Arsenal defender: Will Arteta allow him to leave?

Ligue 1 giants PSG are keen to sign Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin during the summer transfer window, according to Calciomercato.

They claim: “Hector Bellerin could leave Arsenal at the end of the season. On the Spanish right-back are Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.”

Bellerin joined Arsenal’s U18 side from FC Barcelona’s youth academy back in 2011 and last summer he was being linked with several big European clubs.

A few experts thought Arteta would part ways with the Spanish international but since then the manager has shown complete faith on Bellerin.

During the 2020-21 season, Hector Bellerin has played in 16 Premier League games for the Gunners, providing three assists and it looks like Mauricio Pochettino is a big fan of the Spaniard.

Pochettino is looking to revamp his side for the upcoming season and the new PSG boss will be given an enormous transfer kitty in the summer.

Hector Bellerin still has two years left on his current deal at Arsenal but if PSG are ready to offer a substantial transfer fee for the 25-year-old, we can see Arsenal agreeing on a sale.

The North London side signed Cedric Soares last year and the former Saints man is more than capable of becoming the first-choice right-back at the club if Hector Bellerin heads for the exit doors.

Up until now, Bellerin has shown no intention of heading out of England but with a club like PSG interested in him, the defender could change his stance over the next couple of months.

A move to PSG would mean that the 25-year-old will get to play in the Champions League next season, something which looks inconceivable in the near future if he stays at Arsenal.

Juventus have also been named as one of the contenders to signing Bellerin in the summer but with an inflated wage bill, we don’t think the Turin outfit will have a very big budget to spend on new players during the summer transfer window.
