Cristiano Ronaldo vs Lionel Messi.
A debate that has been going on since more than a decade and shows no signs of slowing down.
Fans are always arguing as to who amongst Ronaldo and Messi is the better player but now we have got to know a whole new perspective towards it.
While the fans would often go to lengths in order to provide that their hero is better than other but both Ronaldo and Messi have largely remained politically correct when they have been thrown with the same question.
But now writing in his autobiography, Peter Crouch has said that Ronaldo was always a poser and would spend some quality time infront of the mirror admiring himself – during his Man United days.
And in order to get his focus back to the game and make him work harder, his United pals would often tease him by saying that Lionel Messi was a better player than he was.
Narrating one such incident, Peter Crouch writes:
‘Rio Ferdinand would tell us stories about how Cristiano Ronaldo would stand in front of the mirror naked, running his hand through his hair, and say, ‘Wow. I’m so beautiful!’
‘The other United players would try to wind him up. ‘Whatever. Leo Messi is a better player than you.’
‘And he would shrug his shoulders and smile again. ‘Ah yes. But Messi does not look like this…’
Ronaldo, in the United dressing room would stand naked in front of the mirror:

Cristiano Ronaldo has surely come a long way since then – winning multiple Ballon d’Or and Champions Leagues but the Portuguese star has always maintained that Old Trafford will always be his first home.
And for some weird reason, the United fans still think that Cristiano Ronaldo will return back to their club one day.
