After a poor run of form, Inter finally got back to winning ways this past weekend, beating Salernitana 5-0 but next up, they face the mightly Liverpool in the Champions League.

Inter head to Anfield this week for the 2nd leg of the Round of 16 game and they go to England with a 2-0 deficit from their home tie. The win on Friday night would have given the Italian side a lot of confidence but they have been really poor on the road, having scored only one goal in their previous four matches.

The Serie A side have not won any one of these four away games so it will be really hard for them to challenge a team like Liverpool. The only chance they have is if they can score early and take the game to Liverpool, otherwise, Klopp’s side will be all over the away side.

Simone Inzaghi has a fully fit squad so that is a major advantage but he needs to get his team selection and tactics spot on or else Liverpool will be making merry at Anfield.

Inter team news vs Liverpool:

Nicolo Barella missed the first leg through suspension but he will be available for selection this week and this is going to be a major boost for the manager.

Barella has been in good form this season, scoring two and assisting nine goals in 25 Serie A games and he will get into the starting XI, replacing Arturo Vidal in midfield.

Darmian played as the left wing-back on Friday but the former Manchester United man is going to move to the bench, making way for Ivan Perisicin in that role.

Barella provided two assists and he will slot up in midfield alongside Calhanoglu and Brozovic.

Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez were in peak form in the 5-0 win and the pair will start up front against Liverpool as well. Inzaghi clearly favours the 3-5-2 system and he will stick with the same at Anfield as well.

Inter predicted line up vs Liverpool:

Predicted Starting Line up(3-5-2): Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Brozovic, Calhanoglu, Ivan Perisic; Edin Dzeko, Lautaro Martinez.
