4-2-3-1 Man United’s predicted line-up vs Leicester City: Cavani, Rashford & Fernandes all to be rested?

Man United kept their winning streak going by beating Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday and after just one day’s rest, the Red Devils will have to play another match.

Ole’s side are scheduled to take on Leicester City at home on Tuesday night which is really harsh on all the players but thankfully, the manager can breathe a bit easy since his side have secured a place in the top four after West Ham lost to Everton on Sunday.

This allows the Man United boss to heavily rotate his line-up on Tuesday and most of his regular starters are going to be on the bench since they have to face Liverpool on Thursday night.

Manchester United are undefeated in their last 14 matches in the league but given the number of changes that Solskjaer is expected to make on Tuesday, we doubt if the home side will be able to overpower the Foxes completely.

Man United team news vs Leicester City:

Dean Henderson will be rested for this since Ole has an apt backup in the form of David De Gea while Luke Shaw will also be given the night off. Alex Telles will come back into left-back.

Harry Maguire picked up an injury against Aston Villa on Sunday and he is not likely to feature vs Leicester City. Eric Bailly will get to start alongside Victor Lindelof.

Early team news from Manutd.com claimed: “An update is awaited on the extent of Harry Maguire’s ankle injury but it would appear likely that the skipper is to miss out on another reunion with his former club.

“Eric Bailly came on for the captain at Villa Park, and Axel Tuanzebe is also an option for an outing in the middle of defence.”

Either Fred or McTominay will be on the bench for this since Solskjaer can only afford to call in only Nemanja Matic from the subs bench on Tuesday.

Bruno Fernandes like Maguire has been ever-present for Man United this season and with the Liverpool game coming up, the playmaker should also be given the night off. This would mean summer signing Donny van de Beek will get a rare chance Premier League start in the No 10 role.

Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford are not likely to feature either since the Man United boss has already hinted that players like Amad are in contention to start. Juan Mata is another player who is expected to be named in the starting line-up.

Ole took Greenwood off just after the hour-mark against Villa on Sunday and this was a clear indication that the youngster is going to play as the main centre-forward against Leicester city. Edinson Cavani will be available on the bench.
