Rangers FC suffered an embarrassing 4-0 loss at the hands of Ajax in their first group game of the Champions League and next up, they will take on Napoli on Wednesday night.
The Gers have been put in a massively tough group and that loss to Ajax has made things really hard for them. Apart from Ajax and Napoli, there’s also Liverpool in this group so it’s almost impossible for Rangers FC to qualify for the knockout stages but they will surely have plans to make things discomfiting for the other three teams.
The Scottish side are unbeaten in their previous six home games but Napoli beat Liverpool 4-1 last week so the Italians will be beaming with confidence. Also, Luciano Spalletti’s side are sitting at the top of the Serie A table.
Honestly, we don’t think Rangers FC have any chance of beating Napoli but they are playing on home turf and the crowd will need to play a massive part in helping their team contain the visitors.
Rangers’ team news vs Napoli:
The Gers have gotten a week’s rest meaning the manager won’t have to rest and rotate his players on Wednesday night.
Also, Giovanni van Bronckhorst has a long list of injuries so anyways he will not have the luxury to make too many changes to his first XI.
The likes of Helander and Souttar are still out injured and won’t be available this week so the back line is not likely to see any changes.
Ryan Jack came off the bench in the second half against Ajax but the 30-year-old should start in midfield this time around. Hopefully, he will come into the side in place of Tillman which means Kamara is going to play a bit further up the pitch.

Alfredo Morelos remained an unused sub against Ajax and we don’t expect his situation to change on Wednesday either because Colak is once again going to lead the line.
Kemar Roofe remains sidelined with an injury and he will be back sometime towards the end of this month.
Rangers FC predicted line up vs Napoli:
Predicted Starting XI(4-2-3-1): McLaughlin; Barisic, Sands, Goldson, Tavernier; Lundstra, Ryan Jack; Kamara, Kent, Wright; Colak.
