Here’s how Wolves could line up against Newcastle United

Wolves Premier League

Wolves beat Southampton 1-0 in the Premier League last weekend and next up, they take on Newcastle United on Saturday.

This will be a home game for the Molineux outfit and if they can pick up all three points from this match then they have a chance at moving into the top half of the table right before the international break kicks in.

Bruno Lage’s side have made a mixed start to their 2021/22 season, having won just two out of their first six league matches. And they go into this game having lost their last 4 home matches in the EPL.

The manager does have a few injury concerns to deal with but Newcastle United are not in the best of forms either(failing to win even a single game so far this campaign). Lage should be able to name a really strong side on Saturday and barring a major resistance from the Magpies, we expect Wolves to pick up all three points.

Wolves team news vs Newcastle United:

The new manager has been setting up with a three-man back line and this formation will not change against Newcastle United either.

Conor Coady will be partnered by Romain Saiss and Kilman in defence.

The Wolves boss chose to rest several first-team regulars last weekend but still, his side managed to beat Southampton 1-0. This decision came as a shock to many but we don’t think he will pull off any such antics this time around.

Ruben Neves will return in midfield, partnering Joao Moutinho while Adama Traore reprises his role on the right-hand side of attack.

Trincao is also going to come back into the starting line up meaning Hwang Hee-chan will move back to the bench.

Pedro Neto remains a long-term absentee due to a knee injury as the club are not yet sure when he will be back to full fitness.

Raul Jimenez scored the only goal of the match vs the Saints and he will once again lead the line against Newcastle United.
