France midfielder Paul Pogba had a very mediocre season with Manchester United and the way he started the World Cup, it seemed as if his bad form would continue during the tournament in Russia.
France scraped through the Group stages with Paul Pogba being one of the worst performers and many doubted whether the Man United man could keep his place in the first eleven during the knockout stages.
But as the tournament rolled along the midfielder not only improved his game but he turned himself into a leader.
A video of the French dressing room has emerged where Paul Pogba is seen delivering an inspirational speech to his teammates before Les Bleus faced Uruguay in the quarterfinals
Paul Pogba said: “It’s done there’s no turning back. It’s done. We’re going to continue until the end. We will meet on July 15,”

“Today Blaise [Matuidi] is on the bench and he is disgusted. He wants to play more than any other player on the field. He’s disgusted.
“It’s for guys like this that we are going to fight. He’s not on the field but it’s as if he were playing with us. We are all determined.
“We are going to fight for our partners. Like we already have done. Like we did against Argentina, maybe more.
“Always more! We have to beat the best to be the best.”
Paul Pogba has been criticized for the whole of last season and most of the pundits had branded him as overrated. But by winning the World Cup the midfielder just showed what he is capable of with the right player beside him.
