The Premier League is about to enter the month of December meaning the games will come thick and fast.

While the other major leagues in the world give off a few weeks holiday in and around Christmas, the Premier League sees it’s the busiest time of the season.

While most teams and managers in England have shown discomfort over such a tight schedule but Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has totally different ideas.

United currently sit eighth on the league table – 12 points behind league leaders Manchester City and any hopes of challenging for the title have evaporated long ago.

And even Jose Mourinho is well aware of it.

Hence the Man United manager wishes to get into the top four by the end of 2018.

Talking to the reports, Jose Mourinho said“It is a big gap but I know that until the end of December we have eight Premier League matches to play,

“If I’m not wrong I think there are eight.

“We are speaking about 24 points for us to fight for and the other teams that are in the top four. I believe we are going to be there.”

Manchester United are seven points adrift of Tottenham Hotspur – the team which sit fourth on the league table.

And with 24 points up for grabs, Jose Mourinho has certainly set a very realistic goal for themselves.

But the million dollar question is, Can Jose Mourinho pick up maximum points with such an underperforming team?
