Liverpool swept away Red Star Belgrade 4-0 in the Champions League on Wednesday.

After starting the season on the back foot, Mo Salah has found his form once again and the Egyptian scored a brace at Anfield on Wednesday while Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino each scored a goal.

And if you were somehow not awestruck with Liverpool’s attacking play and managed to take a look at the other things happening inside the stadium then surely you would have noticed something weird.

The stadium was packed with supporters but if someone was watching closely then one would have noticed that there were no away fans at Anfield.

Yes, there were no Red Star Belgrade supporters who made the trip to Liverpool for the all-important Champions League game.

No, the Belgrade supporters haven’t stopped supporting their team but it is rather a UEFA bans which have stopped the fans from going to London.

As per the Standard:

“Red Star supporters were found guilty of invading the pitch and setting off fireworks after seeing their team earn a 2-2 play-off draw at RB Salzburg that sealed their progression to the group stages.

“The hosts have instead been allowed to sell the away allocation to their own fans, with a section of the returned tickets having been ring-fenced for supporters aged between 17 and 21.”
