Man United play host to Crystal Palace this weekend in the Premier League and on paper, this should be an easy three points for the Red Devils.
On Monday, Man United were held to a 1-1 draw by Wolves away from home which is indication enough that Ole’s player will be showing their ruthless streak when Palace come to Old Trafford.
The Red Devils have brought in a number of new signings during the summer and in their opening match vs Chelsea, the team showed what Solskjaer plans to implement this season at the club.
But when Hodgson was asked the same question, he said a very different answer.
According to him, this is not the first time that he is seeing Man United play such a brand of football.
The manager told the press(as reported by Football London): “They were really very good when they came to us last year, and they were flying and playing very well.
“They dropped a few points at the end of the season, but the game I was involved in, they were quick to the ball, aggressive and sharp in their play, like in the first two games this season.
“I thought Chelsea played well in the first half, but in the second half, you saw how good Manchester United can be.
“They played extremely well against Wolves too and their new players are showing why they have been bought.
“It[Old Trafford] has always been a daunting place to go if you need a result and my record there doesn’t measure up to a high degree of scrutiny, but that is because they are a top club.
“They can sign players like we can’t but it is a great occasion. Every footballer would like to play there.
“It is not an easy game.”
