Recent reports have suggested that Fulham boss is planning to sign a couple of players during the January transfer window.

Fulham spent heavily during the summer but they still find themselves at the bottom of the Premier League table.

And one of the players that Ranieri is looking at is his former Leicester City midfielder, Danny Drinkwater.

The midfielder joined Chelsea from Leicester City in the summer of 2017 and he is the perfect example of a panic buy.

The Blues paid £34.11m for the player and last season he managed to play only 12 Premier League games under Antonio Conte.

This year it has gotten even worse under Maurizio Sarri as Danny Drinkwater is yet to play a Premier League game.

And multiple reports have suggested that the midfielder is looking to move out of the club at the start of the new year and Claudio Ranieri is said to be interested in a reunion with his former Leicester City man.

“But if I am interested I won’t tell you,” Ranieri said on the signing of Danny Drinkwater.

“I’m sorry. In this moment, my mind is only on my team and how I can help my players improve and play together to be a strong squad.

“I have time to understand what we need.”

Fulham boss Ranieri is clearly not ready to spill the beans on his club’s interest in Danny Drinkwater but a couple of reputed media houses in England claim the 28-year-old might just make the short transfer across London.
