Declan Rice is giving all the hints that he wants to leave West Ham United because as per talkSPORT, he has now rejected a new contract from the club.

Rice has two more years left on his current deal but the Hammers are taking no chances which is why the club have reportedly offered him a new 8-year contract worth £200,000-a-week.

Yes, an eight-year deal has been put in front of him but the midfielder has rejected this contract which is a clear indication that he wants to play for a new club in the 2022/23 season.

Will West Ham United be able to hold onto him?

The Hammers are trying all they can to keep Declan Rice at the club but there’s very little chance that he will remain with them beyond the summer.

West Ham have put a £150m price tag on him to keep the interested clubs away and now they have come up with this lucrative contract as well but since they won’t play in the Champions League next season, Rice is expected to leave.

A player of his calibre needs to play in Europe’s top-tier so it only makes sense that he leaves his boyhood club and joins one of the Premier League’s big boys. He has stayed at the London Stadium this season only because West Ham were playing in the Europa League.

Which clubs are going to make a move for Declan Rice?

Man City, Man United and Chelsea have all been keeping tabs on the midfielder and now that he’s rejected a new contract, all these clubs will pounce like bloodhounds.

United might back off ultimately because Ten Hag doesn’t want to spend so much money on a single player plus they are chasing Frenkie de Jong but City along with Chelsea will give it their all to sign the England international.

Man City have the finances to pull off such a massive deal and even Chelsea’s new owners have vowed to put money in to strengthen the squad during the summer. Fernandinho and possibly Bernardo Silva will leave in the summer and even Gundogan is ageing rapidly so there will be plenty of room in City’s midfield next season. It’s the same with Chelsea as well because players like Saul, Barkley and Loftus-Cheek have all been disappointments plus someone like Declan Rice will be the perfect upgrade to N’Golo Kante.

Also, Declan Rice himself is likely to avoid going to Manchester United because they will not be in the Champions League next season.
