Is this ex-Chelsea superstar set to make a comeback to the Premier League?

Eden Hazard playing for Chelsea

Eden Hazard has failed to make an impact at Real Madrid and reports suggest that Newcastle United want to sign him during this ongoing transfer window.

Hazard was setting the Premier League on fire when he was playing for Chelsea but at Madrid, the forward has been a massive disappointment. His time in Spain has been riddled with injuries and since 2019, he’s played in only 59 games for the Los Blancos.

At Chelsea, he was a guaranteed starter(scoring 110 goals in 352 games) but this season in the La Liga, Eden Hazard has started only six games. Some rumours have suggested that Hazard is eager to return to the Premier League in order to revive his career.

As per the latest updates, Newcastle United have gotten in touch with the player’s representatives in order to convince him over a possible transfer since the Magpies know very well that Real Madrid want to get rid of him.

Real Madrid accept a bid but does Eden Hazard want to join Newcastle?

As per journalist Álvaro Montero, Real Madrid have received no bids from Newcastle United and even Eden Hazard is not interested in joining the Magpies.

Hazard’s current deal with Madrid expires in June 2024 and he is ready to see out his contract and is willing to fight for his place in the side.

This is something that the Madrid fans will be happy to hear but the reality is that the Los Blancos have no need for the 31-year-old.

With Vinicius in such fine form, Hazard is just warming the benches and it will be a much more sensible option if the ex-Chelsea player agrees to join Newcastle United. At St James’ Park, he can play under very little pressure so he will have a much better chance at regaining his form.

Philippe Coutinho has already chosen this option by joining Aston Villa from FC Barcelona and Eden Hazard also need to walk on the same path if he doesn’t want to fade out.
