Leeds United are ready to sign goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez this summer if the Arsenal are willing to part ways with him, according to the Daily Mail.

The report claims: “Marcelo Bielsa is monitoring developments with Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.

“The Leeds United manager is a confirmed admirer of his fellow Argentinian who has interest from up to ten clubs.

“Arsenal are willing to listen to offers for the 27-year-old and Bielsa is in the market with Leeds willing to offload Kiko Casilla.”

Will Emiliano Martinez join Leeds United?

The Argentine had recently hinted that he is ready to head out for greener pastures this ongoing transfer window if he does not get regular playing time during the upcoming season.

“I showed that I can play, I need to play more games next season,” he told Continental 590, via Football London.

“I want to establish myself at Arsenal and become first choice. If I don’t play, I’m going to move, I’m going to go where I play more.”

And with Bernd Leno back to full fitness, the latest updates are suggesting that manager Mikel Arteta is going to keep Leno as his regular No 1 for the recent future.

So if Leeds United are seriously interested in signing Emiliano Martinez then there’s every chance that the 27-year-old could join Marco Bielsa’s side in the coming weeks.

The Gunners are ready to part ways with the keeper for a fee of around 20 million pounds which is something the newly promoted side should be able to afford.
