Joshua Kimmich wanted by Liverpool Anfield

Liverpool winger Harvey Elliott shone for Blackburn Rovers in the Championship last season and it looks like he could be plying his trade with Brentford next campaign.

Anfield Central are claiming that the newly-promoted side have made contact with Liverpool over a possible loan deal for the 18-year-old winger.

The report claims: “Sources close to Anfield Central claim that Liverpool have received contact from newly promoted side Brentford over the superb Harvey Elliott after he shone in the Championship last season.

“With Liverpool keen for his development to continue at a rapid pace, they are looking to send him out on loan and as we reported exclusively in mid-April, the Reds would greatly prefer to see him play in the Premier League.

“That said, our sources suggest that there are major concerns over whether or not a club in the Premier League can guarantee that they can match the 43 appearances he made this season at Blackburn.”

Will Harvey Elliott be allowed to join Brentford?

There’s no way Harvey Elliott will be able to jump over Mo Salah and become the first-choice right-winger at Liverpool this coming season. So the only way for him to continue his development will be to allow him to move out on another loan spell.

Apart from Brentford, Blackburn are also eager to take him back for a second spell but we don’t think Jurgen Klopp will be too eager to let Harvey Elliott join a Championship side when a PL club has shown an interest in him.

During the 2020-21 season, the 18-year-old scored seven and assisted 11 goals in 41 Championship games for Blackburn so ideally, the next step for him will be to play in the top tier of English football.

The Liverpool coaching staff have really high hopes from the winger which is why they are more than willing to let him move out on loan and gather match experience instead of making him a benchwarmer at the club next season.

As far as the loan move to Brentford is concerned, there’s still a long way to go but if no other Premier League club shows an interest in him then the newly-promoted side will be the frontrunners to sign Harvey Elliott.
