Jose Mourinho tactics to be used in the FA Cup final?

Spurs were humiliatingly knocked out of the Europa League by Dinamo Zagreb despite the Premier League side going into this match with a 2-0 lead from the first leg. And as a result of this, various reports are of the view that Jose Mourinho could be shown the door after this embarrassing defeat.

Thursday’s match was supposed to be a regulation win for Tottenham but a hat-trick from Mislav Orsic ensured that the London side lost the opportunity to win a major silverware this season.

Some pundits feel Jose Mourinho could be sacked by Daniel Levy in the coming weeks but according to Barry Fry, the Spurs chairman will not be walking on that path.

Fry is the current director of football at Peterborough and is someone who knows Levy very well. So according to him, the Tottenham chairman will back Jose Mourinho despite this abrupt exit from the Europa League.

He told Football FanCast: “Knowing Daniel, I don’t think that he ever thinks he makes a bad decision. Everybody was surprised when he made that appointment.

“But Daniel has built one of, if not the best stadium in the world at Tottenham now, it’s unbelievable. I’ve been a few times, and I’m always ‘wow, wow, wow’. So Daniel has done absolutely brilliant, because that was his brainwave, and everybody is grateful for that.

“But Tottenham fans also want to see an entertaining team on the pitch and they want to see a trophy. But they’ve got a chance of a trophy, so if they get a trophy then he will be god again.”

Jose Mourinho has done a lot of good work at Spurs ever since his appointment back in 2019. But as usual, his style of play(especially in crucial games) has come under heavy criticism from the fans. The manager though will be least concerned with this and his only aim will be to win a trophy with the club as soon as possible.

Levy, like Barry Fry said, will undoubtedly back Mourinho until the end of the season and thankfully, the manager still has the League Cup competition left to try and deliver a silverware.
