Napoli winger Lorenzo Insigne has attracted a lot of transfer interest this summer and according to The Daily Star, as many as three Premier League clubs are monitoring his situation.

It’s being claimed there is no fresh chatter about Napoli putting a new deal in front of him which could be an indication that they are ready to cash in.

Daily Star cites Italian reports saying: “Lorenzo Insigne has performed well at the European Championships, scoring once and helping Italy to secure nine points out of nine in Group A.

“The Napoli striker has scored 21 goals for club and country so far this term and is a potential target for London trio Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea.

“That’s according to Italian publication Il Mattino, who claim there is ‘silence’ over his contract, which is set to run out in the summer of 2022.”

Is Lorenzo Insigne on his way to the Premier League?

The interest from teams like Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs seem to be pretty apt since the winger has entered the final year of his contract with Napoli but is yet to put pen on paper for his boyhood club.

Recently some reports had claimed that Ciro Immobile is trying to lure him to Lazio and while Insigne has promptly denied these rumours but, at the same time, he has refused to rule out an exit.

“This rumour came out that Immobile is acting as sporting director to bring me to Lazio, but it’s not true,” Insigne said, as reported.

“I am only thinking of playing the European Championship, afterwards there is time to talk to the club.

“As for my career, I have no regrets. What I always dreamed of was playing for Napoli and wearing the armband. My two dreams have come true and therefore I am not happy, but overjoyed.”

To date, Lorenzo Insigne has played in 397 games for Napoli, scoring 109 and assisting 85 goals for the Serie A side(as per TransferMarkt). But with one year left on his current deal, there’s every chance he could be sold this summer.

Frankly speaking, Arsenal do not stand a chance in signing the 30-year-old since they are not even playing in the Europa League. But there’s a big possibility a team like Chelsea or Spurs could lure him in.

Chelsea are obviously the reigning champions of Europe so that would help but at Spurs, he will be able to get a lot more game time and possibly be the first-choice striker if Harry Kane is heading out.

Lorenzo Insigne is primarily a left-winger but he is equally capable of playing down the middle and this talent of his makes him even more lucrative in the transfer market.
