Real Madrid’s Lucas Vazquez is out of contract at the club at the end of the 2020-21 season and it looks like the 29-year-old might be thinking of joining a Premier League side.

The right-back cum right-winger wanted a substantial pay rise at Madrid in his new deal but the club are not ready to meet his demands which is why he is all set to look for a new challenge next season.

And according to Defensa Central, Lucas Vazquez is talking to teammates Eden Hazard and Luka Modric about joining an English side in the summer.

The exclusive report claims: “As Central Defense was able to know exclusively from sources close to the white team, the renewal with Madrid does not come and it seems that it is increasingly distant.

“For this reason, the player has taken advantage of his ‘contacts’ with teammates and former teammates to soak up what the Premier, the English league, their adaptation is like and he has done so thanks to Hazard and Modric.”

Is Lucas Vazquez on his way to the Premier League?

Several top Premier League clubs have been linked with the 29-year-old in the past couple of months and since he’s going to be a free agent, the interest in him will keep on growing in the coming weeks.

Clubs like Spurs, Leeds United and Everton are already keeping tabs on the right-back’s situation at Real Madrid while some reports claim his services have also been offered to Arsenal.

A long list of sides will be ready to take him in should Lucas Vazquez officially announce to leave Real Madrid in the summer but chances are he will prefer to join a side who are playing in the Champions League rather than sweating it out in the Europa League next season.

Leeds United and Everton are not likely to finish in the top-four of the Premier League this season but Arsenal still have an outside chance of getting back amongst the big boys if they can win the UEL this season.

But, it will not be a walk in the park for all the English sides side as Bayern Munich are also being linked with Lucas Vazquez and if the Bavarians come calling then the right-back could back his bags and head to Germany without thinking too much.

The 29-year-old can play at right-back, right wing and even on the right-hand side of midfielder and this versatility makes him a really big asset for any side. So, we are sure all the interested clubs will go all out to sign him. Even if that means offering him an inflated salary.
