Real Madrid’s 26-year-old winger Marco Asensio has put his future up in the air and this will be great news for several Premier League clubs.
Arsenal, Manchester United and Spurs have all been linked with the winger, one way or the other, and in recent times Tottenham were also given the opportunity to sign him.
His contract expires in the summer of 2023 and the 26-year-old has now hinted that an exit, this summer or the next is a possibility.
Talking about his future, Asensio said, as per the Mirror: “I am focused on the national team. When this concentration is over, we will talk. We will see what I will do with my future.
“Renew or leave Real Madrid? I think there are three possibilities, there is also the option to stay and fulfil my contract year.
“My future does not have to depend on whether or not I will have a place in the next World Cup. Rumours are part of football, and more so at Real Madrid. High-level players are always associated with it. Many players come out every summer and it’s something we have to live with,”

Will Marco Asensio refuse to sign a new deal?
In recent times, many players have chosen to run down their contracts and leave as a free agent and Marco Asensio could very well be following that path.
However, we don’t think Madrid will allow him to leave for free and if they cannot make him agree to a new deal then he will be put up for sale this summer itself.
He might not be the first-choice right-winger for Real Madrid right now but Marco Asensio played in 31 league games last season, scoring 10 goals and a lot of clubs would love to bring him on board.
As things are panning out, Asensio is not interested in signing a new deal which means he could be shown the door in the coming months.
Can Marco Asensio be playing in the Premier League next season?
If Madrid decide to cash in on him then we are sure that Arsenal, Man United and Spurs will all dive in.
Asensio might not be a regular starter for Ancelotti but he remains a fine talent and is still just 26 years old. Since he has only 12 months left on his contract, the winger will also be available for a bargain price.
Man United are still having problems finding the apt right-winger and someone like Marco Asensio can help solve all their problems. Also, Asensio is managed by Jorge Mendes and he has a great working relationship with the Red Devils
The winger will also be a great signing for both the North London clubs but we doubt if he will want to join a team where there are already some top-quality right-wingers. Arsenal have Bukayo Saka who plays in that position and Spurs brought in Kulusevski in January.
Based on pure game time assumptions and his agent, Manchester United is the most likely destination for the Spaniard but before all this can happen, Real Madrid will have to make up their mind regarding what they wish to do.
